Sean (@TheVirtualGM) has a passion for new enterprise and strategy. He has helped launch start-ups and scale-ups, acting as a 'GM for hire'.
Sean spends his time helping founders and managers to navigate business decisions, working to identify and develop the businesses competitive advantage, and help them position that within their industry.
Sean is experienced in a range of industries as a founder as well as holding senior management positions in the C suite and as General Managers. Operational roles including, Business & Projects Manager and Business Development Manager positions. This experience of business operations, project management, marketing, strategy development, procurement, manufacturing (International) and operations combined with award winning strategic management theory is a winning combination.
Sean has an MBA and the university award for Strategic Management from Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM). Here he focused on competition and strategy in Asia Pacific with a little bit of European flare through Luxury Brand Management in Milan, because, well, why not?
At graduate school he was apart of a team of strategists winning two National competitions, one real world market entry, organisational process and product viability strategy and the other in a simulated global operations management challenge. The team then competed in APAC regional finals in Hong Kong and Shanghai against the best of the APAC business schools.
